Distributed Control Algorithm for DC Microgrid Using Higher-Order Multi-Agent System

During the last decade, DC microgrids have been extensively researched due to their simple structure compared AC and increased penetration of loads in modern power networks. The consist three main components, that is, distributed generation units (DGU), non-linear load, interconnected lines. control tasks are voltage stability at point common coupling (PCC) current sharing among loads. This paper proposes a algorithm using higher-order multi-agent system for microgrids. proposed uses communication links between multi-agents acquire information about neighbors’ agents perform desired actions achieve balance DGUs. In this research work, ZIP dynamical RLC lines considered construct model. model DGU used objective each is improved system-based control. closed-loop analysis performed equilibrium points, gains derived. Finally, simulations MATLAB/Simulink environment verify performance method.
